Frequently Asked Questions

Common Questions About Our Insurance Websites

Below are some of our frequently asked questions. If you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us via email or call.

General Questions

  1. If we have an existing website, can you use the existing design?
Yes, we can take the look and feel you already have laid out and fit it into the framework of the Insurance Website Builder product or we can design one from the ground up. The choice is yours.
  2. Are all your websites just templates? Even if so, do we have the capability of changing or adding anything on it that we want?
The Insurance Website Builder product is based on a framework. This framework in conjunction with the administration console allows the site to be maintained by the agency with the greatest of ease. Anyone who can use Microsoft Word will be able to maintain the website.
  3. Can we make a secured user ID and Password protected page for current customers to login and see account info, and special reports and forms?
    Yes.
  4. What do we get for the monthly fee?
The monthly fee is our hosting fee that includes the domain name hosting, website hosting, email hosting, and the secure forms management on our servers. All incoming quote requests and policy maintenance requests are stored on our secure servers for thirty days.
  5. What are Customer Service Modules?
Insurance Website Builder has developed customized modules for each line of products that most independent agents sell. The modules include forms that help agencies collect the information that is needed to provide quality customer service via the internet. These modules were created with input from insurance agents throughout the country. The benefit of having these modules included in the price of the website is that there is no need to have a web designer create forms independently which could cost thousands of dollars. At Insurance Website Builder we have anticipated the needs of the typical consumer of insurance services. Our modules include forms that can be submitted for quotes, endorsements, ID card and declaration page requests, and claim forms. Once a visitor to an agency website has submitted a form to an agency the information is emailed to the appropriate customer service representative. For example, if agency has one CSR that handles all commercial lines products, a commercial quote coming in would be routed specifically to the appropriate CSR. Another advantage to our system is that information that is received via our websites can be directly imported to most comparative rating systems and agency management systems. This feature is priceless for those agencies that wish to automate their agencies. Agents using our websites are able to eliminate duplicate data entry and save valuable time using this feature.
  6. Do I have to set up my own maps and driving directions when I use Insurance Website Builder?
Simply by entering your address on your website using Insurance Website Builder, your clients will be able to locate your agency using state of the art mapping technology. Your customer will be able to print detailed driving directions directly from your website using just a few clicks!
  7. Do I have to transfer my email to Insurance Website Builder?
No. While we believe that we provide an excellent email service, complete with web based mail - it is to your discretion as to whether or not you transfer your email to Insurance Website Builder or not and will have no bearing on our ability to host your web site.
  8. Can I have certain leads be sent to a particular CSR?
Absolutely! Once a visitor to an agency website has submitted a form to an agency the information is emailed to the appropriate customer service representative. For example, if agency has one CSR that handles all commercial lines products, a commercial quote coming in would be routed specifically to the appropriate CSR.
  9. I only write in Texas but see your product is nationwide. Can I limit submissions to my authorized states only?
Insurance Website Builder is offered to agents in all states - but we understand that most agents only serve their local state. Due to this, we have created the ability for you to specify the states in which you wish to offer services through our product to.
  10. What is the administration console?
Insurance Website Builder websites are easy to setup and maintain using our online administration console. Once an agency is set up with a domain, a user ID and password will be provided. From the website console, an agent can add and remove modules and email accounts, update agency information, change the look and layout of the website, add links to your company websites, upload images, and setup and send newsletters to clients.
  11. Why are newsletters and mailing lists important to my agency?
Keeping in touch with your clients via newsletters is a great way to retain clients. Our easy to use mailing list and online newsletter capabilities are an easy way to maintain relationships with clients. Client retention is key to any agency; let us help you automate that process.
